FEURER is celebrating 120 years in the business world
A history with an assured future: Company anniversary in Brackenheim.
FEURER celebrated its 120th anniversary at its birthplace place of foundation in Brackenheim on October 13th, 2018. Around 400 guests – the majority of which were employees and their families – attended to witness the event.Besides ceremonial speeches and a historical review the different jubilees were honoured.
The event was kicked-off by the fourth generation managing partner, Markus Feurer. With the motto “the one who resists change, perishes”, he presented his personal review of the company’s history and thanked all the employees and managing directors for their part in the company’s success: “120 years of FEURER. We would not have been able to achieve this without your tireless efforts. Thank you!” He was pleased with the current state of the company: “All doors are open to the FEURER Group, it is up to us to benefit the potential and continue to develop as a company.” Regarding the prospective future, he emphasized digitisation and Industry 4.0: “Let us take this opportunity for re-inventing ourselves again.”
The programme continued with a speech held by the Deputy Mayor, Helmut Kayser. Other highlights included a presentation of the company’s history, an anniversary competition, factory tours and an exhibition of objects from the private FEURER Museum. Jubilees received special attention during the ceremonial recognition. The large buffet and live music ensured that the good mood among the guests continued.
120 years of FEURER: Founded in 1898, the company has developed into an internationally-operating professional of packaging solutions and plastic processing. Today, 800 employees work at four locations in Germany and two locations in other European countries in the cargo carrier, copacking and automotive sectors.
