Cushioning material based on grain husks

RECOU is a dimensionally stable cushioning material based on grain husks, a by-product of food processing. It is used for protective and cushioning applications.

The appropriate design depends on component geometry, loads and shipping conditions. Disposal of the specific packaging must be agreed with the relevant waste management provider.

RECOU Inlay – The solution for CKD shipping

The FEURER inlay based on RECOU was developed for CKD and after-sales shipping. It can be adapted to components such as door panels, headlights or electronic modules. The required product protection needs to be assessed for the specific application.


Design and use:

RECOU Corner Protection – Edge protection for sensitive parts

RECOU corner protection is used to protect sensitive edges and corners against impact and abrasion. The dimensionally stable material is based on grain husks. Design and protection need to be matched to the component and transport conditions.

Possible uses include transport, storage and internal handling.


Design and handling:

  • Select shape and pressure resistance for the application
  • Agree disposal with the relevant waste management provider
  • Assess fitting and removal on the specific component
  • Various shapes and sizes available
  • Can be combined with RECOU inlays or fiber husk solutions

Typical applications:

  • Corners of components, plastic housing or furniture
  • Machines, enclosures, displays or large parts
  • Pallet shipping and warehouse storage
  • Sensitive or impact-prone products

RECOU Fiber Husk – Surface protection for sensitive components

RECOU Fiber Husk is a cushioning material for sensitive component surfaces. It can be used as an intermediate layer, insert or full-surface padding in packaging solutions. Suitability for the surface and expected loads needs to be assessed for the specific application.

Cutting and dimensions can be adapted to the packaging process.


Design and use:

  • Dimensionally stable material for cushioning applications
  • Custom cutting for the application
  • Designed for single use without return transport of the padding
  • Select weight and dimensions for the packaging concept
  • Clarify disposal for the specific design

Laser Engraving – Custom Marking & Branding

Individual laser marking

RECOU packaging parts can be marked with laser engraving. Logos, product markings or traceability information are applied directly to the material.


Marking options:

  • Logo or name directly on the packaging part
  • Batch or component identification
  • Laser engraving without additional labels or printing ink for the marking
  • Agree design and legibility for the specific moulded part
